Adobe <\/a>surveyed 1014 educators from 13 countries in Asia-Pacific area. The result (picture) reveals that creativity is vital for education. However, the current educations systems put a hurdle in front of the schools, the teachers and the students.\u00a0Maybe\u00a0technology and digital tools is a good solution.<\/p>\n

Educators thinks Creativity is important.<\/h2>\n

62% of the educator strongly felt that they should be creative no matter what subjects they taught. 57% felt that the creativity was hamstrung by an education system that is not geared towards creativity. And more than 40% of them felt that the current education system was either outdated or restrictive or both.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile,\u00a0\u00a085% of the respondents\u00a0thought that\u00a0technology and digital tools play an important role.<\/p>\n

Innovate is not Just a Slogan, it\u2019s a Vital\u00a0Truth.<\/h2>\n

We are not discussing high art, but enabling students to be imaginative. Not everybody can be Vincent Van Gogh, but everybody can draw. Neuroscience research has proved that we\u00a0all are born with innate creative powers. However, most of us lose it as we are educated in schools.\u00a0Sure, there are classes called writing and art, but what\u2019s really being taught is conformity.<\/p>\n

The sad truth is that schools were never designed to produce creativity.<\/p>\n

Technology, which is something that students love and use the most, can be of great help to educators\u00a0in this endeavor.\u00a0Here\u2019s how various\u00a0technological tools help enhance student creativity:<\/p>\n

Video and Audio tools<\/span><\/strong>: There are many easy to use video and tutorial creation tools that students and teachers can use in their teaching and learning. Students can create their own videos and share them with their class, which can be a great opportunity for them to develop their creative skills. They are easily and freely available and teachers should readily adopt them into their academic curricula, so that their students never lag behind when it comes to creativity, since it is vital for their all-round development.<\/p>\n
